I don’t have the pleasure of doing a Commercial Photography shoot very often so when I was invited in to capture the essence of The Hickory Trading Company, It was a tall order. I say that because this is not just a run of the mill gift shop.
This is a Cafe and Gift shop that showcases local artisans but with a noble goal of taking those funds to support their sister company and Non-Profit organization, The Hitching Post – Education Center.
The mission is to support both students and their families with learning differences and special needs through individualized programming, group sessions and community engagement. We offer specialized programs designed to meet the unique needs of those on the Autism Spectrum, ADHD, Developmental Delay, Behavior Disorders, Learning Disorders, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and more.
I think the pictures turned out well but doesn’t hold a candle to all the work and effort that Patti & Andy Howell and their awesome staff put in to helping those who need it most.
